"BEST OF" in two categories
de Man receives awards at the INDUSTRIEPREIS 2018: Two submitted solutions from de Man Automation + Service GmbH & Co. KG received the “BEST OF” award at this year's industry award. Both the "Heron" palletizing cell and the "de Man control software" thus belong to the top group of applications submitted in the "Production Technology" and "IT and Industry" categories.
The INDUSTRIEPREIS has been awarded annually since 2006 by Huber Verlag für Neue Medien for particularly advanced industrial products and solutions in 14 different categories. The independent expert jury evaluates all submitted solutions with regard to progress as well as economic, social, ecological and technological benefits. Both the robot palletizer "Heron" and the "de Man control software" from the automation specialist from Borgholzhausen convinced the jury and made it into the top group of applications in the respective categories.
High flexibility and maximum comfort
The "Heron" palletizer not only impresses with its compact design (from 3000 mm x 2400 mm floor space), but also with its high flexibility. It is available in four variants, which differ in the type of pallet removal (manual or automatic), the number of palletizing positions and the structure. With various options such as pallet and intermediate layer magazines, camera technology or adjustments to the take-off conveyor, each variant can also be designed for a wide variety of requirements. The gripper technology is individually tailored to the respective products. This makes "Heron" flexible with regard to the products to be packed and their arrangement. The "de Man control software" was developed for the convenient operation of robot systems. In the main view, a clear, schematic representation of the entire system gives the operator quick access to all functions. The visualization of all system components and self-explanatory symbols facilitate understanding of the processes. As usual from smartphones or tablets, all menus and functions are selected with a simple click on the touch panel. Changing parameters and process data as well as creating new palletizing schemes can also be carried out in just a few steps. Thanks to the high level of operating convenience, the familiarization time and operating errors can be significantly reduced.
